Oregon State University developed and tested Decoy over a period of more than 10 years against Spotted-Wing Drosophila (SWD) in multiple susceptible crops. Decoy reduces damage by SWD on strawberry, blueberry, caneberry, cherry, winegrape and other susceptible crops. TerrAmor Inc. obtained the patent license for Decoy in 2020. Decoy is a minimum risk insecticide in the states of Oregon, Washington, Pennsylvania and California. The product is used in multiple countries on thousands of acres providing growers significant value.
Decoy provides significant reduction in crop damage, alone or in combination with insecticides in open-field commercial settings. Decoy can be used in organic conventional and residential settings. Applications with Decoy provide ~21-days of control.
